Breakfast Clubs: A Safe Start for Every Child
We believe every child deserves a healthy and safe breakfast, and that’s why we’re calling on the Government to make sure schools ensure their breakfast clubs are inclusive of children with food allergies.

The Government’s new initiative to provide universal free breakfast clubs is a wonderful step toward healthier, more engaged students—but we must make sure children with allergies are not left out of this vision.
Imagine a breakfast club where no child has to worry about hidden allergens in their meal. Children with dairy allergies should find safe, non-dairy milk alternatives—not just lactose-free milk—and other allergen-safe options so they can enjoy breakfast without hesitation.
Schools need both resources and training to provide safe, allergen-free meals so parents can send their children to school with confidence.
With around 20% of food allergy reactions happening in schools and 80% of allergy parents experiencing significant worry over their child’s safety, it’s clear: breakfast clubs should be free for all and free from allergens.
Together, we can create a safe, welcoming start to every school day for every child. Join us in making Allergy School a reality!

“As a mum to two young children with Cow’s Milk Allergy, I know how isolating it can feel to navigate spaces that aren’t safe for them.
Breakfast clubs should be a place where all children feel included and cared for. Ensuring allergen-free alternatives isn’t just about food – it’s about giving every child the chance to start their day with confidence and belonging.
I fully support the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation’s call to make this a reality for families like ours who are dealing with food allergies.”
